The best outdoor places for al fresco dining!

We all know there are many reasons you might fancy booking an outdoor restaurant in London as of Monday 12th April. One obvious catalyst is that COVID-19 restrictions are beginning to reduce, and we can all begin to enjoy each other’s company whilst we dine al fresco!

Since lockdown we’ve all been searching for the best outdoor restaurant in London that is safe environment to socialise with our family and friends. With this in mind, we have pulled together some of our favourite restaurants that have added measure in place to make sure their guests are not only safe, but warm and comfortable.


  1. Alto by San Carlo Selfridges

A hidden gem on the roof of Selfridges offers incredible views over central London. Alto has a full restaurant setup for a gorgeous all-day Italian dining, as well as a comfortable lounge to order cocktails and bar snacks in the sunshine. Alto will also be putting on live entertainment to welcome guest back!

  1. Folie

A sweet little corner spot in the heart of Soho. This super trendy eatery has managed to create an outdoor dining space as of Monday 12th April! You can enjoy delicious Mediterranean dishes here.

  1. The Nest and Treehouse

Expect 360-degree views of the capital, all-day dining and trendy décor. This roof top restaurant is the perfect spot for Instagram worthy shots! Plush furnishings, sharing platers and copious amounts of foliage!

  1. Mo Diner

Momo’s sister restaurant, Mo Diner comes with a classic American diner twist. Enjoy dining outside on the terrace, with some funky tunes, beautiful décor and scrumptious menu.

  1. Circolo Popolare

Circolo Popolare is from the infamous Big Mama group and it brings the company’s signature instagrammable interiors and unbelievably delicious Italian menu. Everything is picture-perfect. The outdoor terrace faces on to a sweet little pedestrianised square which means it’s a relatively peaceful dining spot.

The Lighterman can be found on bustling Granary Square. Its outdoor terrace is often packed on sunny days so make sure you get there early. As well as its canal front vies, crowds asre often drawn in by the impressive wines and seasonal coctails.

  1. Casa do Frango Shoreditch

Ready to enjoy Portuguese cuisine out in the sunshine with delicious wines? Look no further than Casa do Frango! This restaurant can house 100 bottoms on the terrace, where you can tuck into a fantastic menu. There's no doubt that this is as close are you'll get to a slice of the Algarve in the heart of London.
