Running for The Royal Marsden
For this month’s charity, we wish to shine the light on the London Marathon. One of the largest annual fund-raising events in the world, runners from across the globe gather to race the 26.2 mile (42.195 km) course through the centre of London.
For most of the runners this is not only a race to test physical and mental endurance, but a race to honour others. Runners take to the line in tribute of loved ones, organisations and charities which have often offered support and hope in difficult times.

You’ve been in the industry for 14 years working as a PA – what made you choose this career?
When I was younger I generally didn’t know what I wanted to do – all I knew was I wanted to be in the movies.
As I failed all my GCSEs and I came from a working-class family where no one had contacts to the industry I decided to go out to Pinewood Studios and hand my CV out to everyone – and after two weeks it paid off.
