Meet Rebecca!

Bain and Gray team

We are delighted to welcome Rebecca Lang to our team as Senior Permanent Consultant.  Rebecca has a proven track record in secretarial recruitment and joins us bringing a wealth of experience of the London Market.

We'd like to give a big welcome to Rebecca, our new Consultant who joins us on the Permanent desk.

What’s your past experience?

I have quite an “interesting” CV.  As a child I was horse mad and had a fat, hairy and very slow pony that lived in a field and often refused to let me catch him.   As I got older, my dream was to compete at Badminton Horse Trials, however I constantly fell off so moved on to dressage.  I was lucky enough to train in Germany for a while before coming back to the UK and training horses and riders.  Aware that this may not be a long-term career, I always worked part time as a PA within charity, media and publishing. Before becoming a recruitment consultant, I worked in education for 8 years.

How did you hear about the role at Bain and Gray?

When I was a PA, I registered with Bain and Gray as a candidate. I was drawn to the interesting and diverse roles the company advertised.  The consultants were also incredibly friendly and approachable so when I was contacted to discuss a possible move to Bain and Gray I was thrilled. With their lovely offices in Soho and flexible working hours that fit around family life, I felt it was too good of an opportunity to miss!

What would your advice be to anyone who wants to get into recruitment?

Be prepared for it to take time to see results.  You never know what each day will bring (which I love) and a good sense of humour always helps.  It’s brilliant fun, you never stop learning and I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredibly interesting and inspiring people.

When you’re not working, what do you like doing?

Weekend breaks – anywhere! I recently went to NY during Halloween which was amazing.  I also enjoy going to the gym (we’ll see how long that lasts) and spending time with my family.
