Ski season 2018/19

Chalets and Mountains

Set to be the best in 20 years

Rupert Longsdon, Founder and CEO of The Oxford Ski Company, has written this week’s blog post. Rupert explains why 2019 holds great promise, with upgraded lifts, excellent snow forecast and a host of stunning new properties opening. So don’t delay – book your trip to the slopes now!

Investment in your ski pass, rising to new heights?

Those who love the mountains but hate the queues will be pleased to hear that many favourite resorts have new lifts opening for the 2018/19 season, reducing waiting times and improving access to the piste. Resorts that have added lifts include Zermatt and Val d’Isere where a brand new 10 person gondola with heated seats will bring skiers from La Daille up to La Folie Douce – the perfect warm up for après!

While upgraded ski lifts reduce queue times and help you maximise your time on the slopes, having enough snow to ski on is just as important. We were thrilled then, to hear that Les 3 Vallées had installed extra snowmakers taking their total 2,300 machines, providing guaranteed snow and guaranteed skiing.
