Emily grew up and went to School in Dorset, however, her parents were based in Italy, Cyprus and the Middle East over this time which gave her an International experience at a young age. Emily was a singing Scholar as a young girl and has musical talent in her family.
Emily studied at Queens Secretarial College in London before joining Crabtree & Evelyn in their marketing team. Emily had a natural ambition and drive and travelled globally opening stores across the World for the brand.
Emily was then approached by a small media start up recruitment agency, to run and build their Temporary desk. With her usual enthusiasm and drive, Emily found she had exactly what was needed and grew the Temporary desk successfully over a number of years. She then became a Director and Shareholder of the business which was a great achievement so early in her career.
After a number of years Emily had formed a strong working relationship with Claire Gray and they moved together to a boutique agency in Sloane Square, specialising in a more corporate and high end client base. Emily was brought in to manage and develop their Temporary business and she did this successfully over a number of years, more than trebling their temp revenue.
In 2008 Emily left to have her first child and decided that starting her own agency was the next natural step in her career. Together with Claire Gray they formed a strong partnership and set up Bain and Gray to consolidate their experience and reputation and bring a balance to their lives.
Emily now lives in Oxfordshire with her family and enjoys pushing and challenging herself all the time. She has learnt to water ski, paraglide, sky dive and trains with a team who completed the 3 Peaks in 24 hours and have more challenges planned for the coming years.
