Our interviewing and selection process is something we spend a large part of our time on, so we get to know our candidates and build relationships with them putting them forward for the right temp opportunities.  This guarantees our clients the best service and candidates for them, as we know our candidates ability, work history and skills before they temp anywhere for us.  They are reference checked and we adhere to all the Agency Workers Regulations, so you are assured that everything is covered, and the paperwork is done, so all you are getting the best candidates ready to hit the ground running.

The process begins from the moment we assess candidate CVs with our consultants meeting all suitable temps for a comprehensive interview process including testing, eligibility to work and reference checking.
We look after our temps, so we get the same candidates coming back to us for work again and again, and remaining loyal and committed to temping for us for long hiring periods.  This means that when we place temporary staff with you, we can get you a temp you have had before, or a temp who is tried and tested and committed to temping for our clients.


Our temp division are always contactable, either by email whenever you need them, or on the phone during our office hours 8.30am to 5.30pm.  If you have an urgent request they are on their mobiles whenever you need to reach them, putting client service first. We can turn a temp booking round within an hour, however, in rare situations where we can't provide the cover you need in the time frame required we will always let you know and give other options so you have always got back up.

Standby Temporary Support

The Bain and Gray temporary desk pride themselves in being able to find clients excellent candidates within very short notice. We have a number of temporary candidates on standby every day for last minute cover and we aim to have someone booked in within a 2 hour period. Whether you need last minute reception support for sickness cover or a PA to cover at very short notice, we ensure to have very high calibre, referenced, candidates ready to go. Last minute cover also works well for our candidates who are career temps or may be actively seeking their next permanent role. The Bain and Gray temporary desk check in weekly with their candidates to ensure we always have an update of their availability.

Interim Temporary Support

Interim temporary candidates can be brought in at very short notice to provide seamless cover for our clients whilst they recruit for their next permanent employee. The Bain and Gray temporary desk work to ensure our candidates have the skill set required for the role and we aim to provide cover that will fit well within the business. We ask both our candidates and clients to provide one week’s courtesy notice to ensure that no one is left in the lurch. Our interim temporary support covers all secretarial roles including Reception, Team Assistants, PA’s, EA’s and Private household support.
