Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a warm and upbeat Office Manager and Receptionist to join a fun and dynamic boutique events and venue finding business (soon to be based in Putney) The team is made up of 25 people and they are sociable and close knit. We are looking for someone with the relevant experience who can slot in and quickly act as the glue to keep everything running smoothly. The office has a modern, creative feel with modern art, an in-house bar, pool table with a fun culture to match.

This role is key in creating a professional first impression for clients, visitors and the team. The incoming candidate will manage the front desk and office operations. This is a wonderful role as it offers genuine progression and a variety of career paths within the business.

Please note, this role is based in the office 5 days per week.

Duties will include:

Front Desk Management:

  • Greet clients, visitors, and staff with a warm and professional demeanour.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them efficiently.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and courier services.

Administrative Support:

  • Coordinate office supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, and preparing materials.
  • Support the team with basic administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Help organise internal events, team meetings, and client visits.

Office Coordination:

  • Maintain a tidy, professional, and welcoming office environment.
  • Liaise with building management, cleaners, and suppliers to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and event-related logistics when needed.

Team Support:

  • Collaborate with the event management team to support client projects, such as sourcing venues or preparing proposals.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to directors and team members as required.

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant office management/co-ordination experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, polished and presentable
  • Naturally organised and proactive – ability to see where things need looking after
  • Interest or knowledge in the events industry is a bonus
  • Team player – happy to work collaboratively and independently
