A Year With Astriid – 2024
What a year! – as we come to the end of 2024, we are taking a moment to look back at the highlights of our charity partnership with Astriid.
Astriid are a fabulous organisation that helps those with long-term health conditions find work. Given their mission, it was a no-brainer that we support them.
The Bain and Gray team has been both fundraising for Astriid and supporting Astriid candidates with CV consultancy and job search guidance, as we look back on 2024 here are a few of our highlights…
January 2024 – Understanding Long-Term Conditions and Illness in the Workplace
To kick-start our relationship, Astriid provided us with a hugely informative training session on invisible disabilities and long-term conditions in the workplace. In this session we covered what these disabilities look like, how employers can be more supportive and the barriers in place for those with long-term conditions. This training is available to all via the Astriid team, please do reach out to Hetty and Julia (hetty@bainandgray.com and julia@bainandgray.com) if you would like to explore the training for your own workplace.
May 2024 – In Conversation with Steve Shutts, Ambassador & formerly CEO of Astriid
Julia Gough-Allen and Hetty Woyka, delve into Steve's inspiring personal journey with Astriid, his most rewarding experiences, and what lies ahead in this very fitting partnership.
June 2024 – Rounders match in support of Astriid
The Bain and Gray kicked of our summer party with a friendly Rounders match, in support of Astriid! The sun shone and the Aperol was poured.
September 2024 – 50Km of fun!
The Bain and Gray team donned their walking boots and took on the Chiltern Ultra Challenge walking 50KM or 25KM raising vital funds for Astriid. We had an unforgettable day and definitely learned a thing or two about resilience!
November 2024 – Steve Shutts, Ambassador & formerly CEO of Astriid
We rounded of the year with a brilliant presentation from Steve, who looked back on our year with Astriid and sat down with Julia and Hetty to discuss exciting plans to come for 2025!
