I was fortunate enough to spend my week’s work experience with Bain and Gray at their attractive office in Soho. It was an incredible insight into the recruitment world, a taster of what different jobs in the industry entails and an enlightening experience into working life in London.
Throughout the week I shadowed Arabella. It was great to see how she managed and organized the diaries of all the permanent consultants so that everything went smoothly, and interviews were attended to. I also sat in on interviews with Imogen and Jessie, it was incredible to see how they worked their way through their client’s CV’s to gain knowledge into their work history. As soon as the interview had been completed, both consultants began to discuss/find potential job roles which was very exciting as it was fast paced and everyone in the office was willing to help and find them an interview.
All the members at Bain and Gray were extremely welcoming and friendly, who strive to be the best at their job and find the most suitable jobs for both their clients and candidates. It is an office full of individuals with a hard-working mentality and a great atmosphere of fun and excitement.
Throughout the week I gained a massive amount of experience and knowledge and loved to sit in on meetings and interviews and see the dynamics of office life.
I am extremely grateful for the time and effort each member gave me and I look forward to my future career whichever path I go down. I want to say a big thank you to Bain and Gray for giving me such a fun, exciting week full of great experience.
