Job Description

An exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, high-calibre PA

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright, capable and highly organised Private PA to support a prominent Chairman within a major international business environment.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a few years of solid Private PA experience who is looking to step up into a high-profile private office environment, taking on greater responsibility and gaining exposure to a varied and privileged lifestyle.

The role focuses predominantly on the Chairman’s personal affairs, lifestyle, properties and financial administration, working alongside an established executive support team.

This is not a conventional PA position. The environment is fast-paced, demanding and often unpredictable, requiring someone who is proactive, exceptionally organised and able to think on their feet. You will need the confidence to take ownership of your responsibilities, exercise sound judgement and manage changing priorities without becoming unsettled.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, resourceful and keen to prove themselves, with the maturity and resilience to operate effectively in a high-expectation environment.

This opportunity will suit someone who thrives on responsibility and challenge. It is not for someone seeking a predictable routine or a role where every task is clearly mapped out.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses a broad range of personal, financial and lifestyle responsibilities, including:

  • Personal and financial administration: Managing personal finances, maintaining spreadsheets, tracking payments and handling sensitive financial information with absolute discretion.
  • Sporting and lifestyle commitments: Coordinating polo events and tournaments, arranging staffing requirements and supporting sporting and corporate shooting engagements.
  • Wine administration: Managing wine orders and payments, liaising with brokers and overseeing associated administration.
  • Art and antiques: Coordinating purchases, deliveries, shipping, logistics and related arrangements.
  • Property and estate management: Coordinating arrangements for overseas properties and liaising with the relevant private support team.
  • Travel and logistics: Organising travel and managing arrangements across multiple properties and commitments.
  • Personal appointments and events: Arranging lunches, entertaining and other engagements, often at short notice.
  • Ad hoc support: Responding to changing requirements, resolving problems and ensuring that personal affairs run smoothly and efficiently.

Plans can change at short notice, requests may arise outside normal working hours, and priorities will not always follow a predictable pattern. You will need to remain composed, adaptable and focused on finding solutions, even when under pressure.

The Chairman is direct, moves quickly and expects a consistently high standard of support. The successful candidate must be comfortable receiving feedback, managing pressure professionally and taking things in their stride.

Although an experienced executive support team is in place, you will be expected to manage your own workload, use your initiative and take responsibility for seeing tasks through to completion without constant supervision.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to accelerate their career, build valuable experience and establish themselves in a high-level private office environment.

We are looking for a bright, ambitious and highly capable PA with approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will ideally bring:

  • A strong educational background, degree-educated, with experience in a PA role supporting a high-net-worth individual or within a private office, luxury or similarly high-service environment.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and strong financial administration and spreadsheet capabilities.

An interest in luxury lifestyle areas such as art, fine wine, polo, fishing, shooting or country pursuits would be advantageous. You do not need to be an expert in these areas, but an appreciation of the environment would be helpful.
